As of August 2026, the current version of the ISO 9001 standard is ISO 9001:2015.
However, that will not be the case for much longer. Back in 2023, we learned that ISO Technical Committee 176, Sub-Committee 2 had voted to start a revision of the ISO 9001 standard with immediate effect.
That revision process is now more or less complete. A new version of ISO 9001 is scheduled to be published on 16 September 2026.
